Benedict XVI has granted an Apostolic
Blessing to all the children of the world who

Reverend Robert W. Finn, D.D., Bishop of Kansas City,
will lead the Children’s Holy Hour, and EWTN
will broadcast the event LIVE
from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception in Washington, to over 40 different nations.
Father
Patrick Byrne, Secretary General, of the
Pontifical Mission of the Holy Childhood Association
is inviting the children of the world to join in and
unite their prayers.
“A
Eucharistic and Marian Movement of the Children of
the World”
Who
Pray for PEACE in our Families and World!
(ST.
PAUL, MINN. – August 1 ~2007) The World Apostolate
of Fatima USA Children’s Program Children
of the Eucharist will host its fifth
annual Worldwide Children’s Holy Hour at the
Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
Conception in Washington, DC, on First Friday,
October 5th, 2007.
Once
again the worldwide event will broadcast Live via
the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) at 10 AM
(EST). Most Reverend Robert William Finn, D.D., of
Kansas City, will lead the Children’s Holy Hour
in prayer, watch his live invitation here: and Irish
singer Dana will lead the children in their theme
song: “We are the children of the world, answering
His Call.”
This
year it seems as though Our Lady in White, as Pope
Benedict XVI referred to Our Lady of Fatima, has sent
a “new spark” for this year’s “Worldwide
Children’s Holy Hour” which is none other
than the Holy Father’s own blessing:
“I
am deeply grateful for the many good efforts of the
World Apostolate of Fatima and in particular, I think
of the many graces that come to so many young people
through the Children’s Programs… It is
my hope and prayer that each of the children who participate
in this Holy Hour will be ambassadors of Jesus Christ
to other young people and to the world…”
(Apostolic
Letter).
The
World Apostolate of Fatima’s “Children
of the Eucharist" program invites and encourages
bishops, parish pastors, school principals and families
around the globe to plan "little pilgrimages"
to their local shrines, diocesan cathedrals, parish
churches, and chapels, as they gather the school children
and all the children of the world before the Most
Blessed Sacrament, to pray for peace in our families
and world.
Children
around the globe will storm the heavens, as they gather
before the Most Blessed Sacrament to pray the World
Mission Rosary with Bishop Finn and the school children
gathered at the Basilica in Washington DC, for the
families of the world, to spark the new
and long awaited New Springtime for the children of
the world and their families.
Daytime:
A pilgrimage by bus can be planned to your local diocesan
Cathedral, or simply walk the students to their parish
church or chapel.
Evening:
Parishes can plan a "Family Holy
Hour" gathering the Religious Education
Children and all their parish children, to unite their
prayers of the daytime Holy Hour program.
The
beauty of the program is its simplicity. Children
from the smallest of villages to those in the largest
of cities can join in and feel part of this powerful
event, simply by uniting their prayers with children
around the world before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament,
said Magnoski, Minnesota Squires Chairman of the Knights
of Columbus.
It's
easy, free and more powerful than a nuclear exchange.
A concert of love from the children of the world,
for the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart
of Mary, said Schneider.
This
children’s movement is a gift of the Holy Spirit,
and the fruit of this global Holy Hour is weekly and
monthly Children’s Eucharistic Adoration in
our parishes, schools and families. It’s already
happening”, Schneider said.
When
Pope Benedict XV had exhausted all worldly means to
end World War I, in
a meeting with the children in Rome,
he pleaded for their help. Within this time of July,
1916, heaven sent the "Angel of Peace" to
teach three little shepherd children, how to adore
Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament, this was the
first "Children's Holy Hour" Schneider said.
"Eucharistic
Adoration for Children was heavens plan, and
the family crisis in today's world is being entrusted
to the prayers of the children of the world, this
was the inspiration of John Paul II, in his Christmas
Letter to the world’s children, at the close
of the International Year of the Family, 1992.
We
are hopeful, that corporations and people
of influence and means will come forward
and help this Eucharistic Children’s Movement,
"Children of the Eucharist" which will then
spiritually benefit all the children of the world,
and their families.
